Enjoying sugar-free treats – that is MAKECAKE's mission. Founders Joana and Mayra launched their start-up in 2018 with the aim of bringing delicious baking mixes to the market that people could enjoy without feeling guilty. With a great deal of passion, creativity and a clear focus on healthy eating, they have created a brand that today stands for innovation, enjoyment and sustainability.

The first steps

Like many start-ups, MAKECAKE began on a small scale: with labels designed at home, printed out and stuck onto the first bags. "We did our first product tests with scissors and paper," recalls Joana. The founders celebrated their first successes with a simple chocolate baking mix and their spreads, laying the foundation for their journey.

From DIY design to professional packaging

With success came the next step: the growing product family needed a harmonious, professional appearance. The switch to fully printed stand-up pouches was the logical consequence.
