Labels

Any questions about our labels?
Here are the answers!

What is the significance of the winding direction?

If your product is labelled by machine, the winding direction is important when placing your order. Once printed, this usually cannot be corrected. Clarify with your contract filler, for example, in which direction they need the labels to be unwound from the roll. If the adhesive labels are applied by hand, the winding direction is irrelevant.

Can I print later with my thermal transfer printer?

Paper labels can be printed on in many ways – wax ribbons are suitable for thermal transfer printing, or inkjet printing is also an option. Foil labels with glossy or matt protective cellophane coating are suitable for printing with thermal transfer printers – resin ribbons are best suited to smooth surfaces.

Are labels on rolls self-adhesive?

Yes, all our materials have a self-adhesive backing with permanent, strong adhesive or removable/washable adhesive.

Are there adhesives with different levels of stickiness?

Yes! All films come with permanent acrylic-based adhesive. We also offer white PP film with strong adhesive.
For paper, there are permanent, removable and washable adhesives.

Is digital printing of lower quality than offset printing?

As a label printing company, we have been able to develop significantly in recent years. With our HP Indigo, we print in offset print quality. By eliminating printing plates, we save a lot of time and resources and gain the ability to change templates even shortly before or during printing.

Multilayer

Complex questions?
Here are our answers!

How many layers can a multilayer label have?

Our standard multilayer labels consist of two or three printable sides. The top layer can be easily peeled off and resealed.

Can I print on the multi-layer labels afterwards?

Multilayer labels are only suitable for subsequent printing using thermal transfer or inkjet printing to a limited extent. If you would like to add variable data, simply contact us. We will be happy to advise you on the best solution!

What colours and printing options are available?

Our multilayer labels offer up to three printable sides:

  • Front (side 1): The visible design on the top layer.
  • Inside (side 2): The back of the top layer (optionally full black for better opacity).
  • Bottom (side 3): The visible print on the bottom layer.

Are the multi-layer labels suitable for machine labelling?

Yes, multi-layer labels can be processed on automatic labelling machines. If you have specific requirements regarding the winding direction, you can specify these directly when placing your order.

What formats are the multilayer labels available in?

Our multi-layer labels are available in many different formats. We produce custom sizes from 40 x 40 mm to 400 x 300 mm, in both rectangular and round shapes. Special formats with rounded or pointed corners are also possible.
