Food labels must not come into direct contact with the contents. Therefore, our labels are not food-safe, but are used on packaging with a high barrier that reliably protects the food. Our printing inks and materials are selected to meet all requirements – resistant to moisture, cold and heat, but always safe to use. Which materials are best suited for food labels?

For food packaging, we offer a selection of materials that are both functional and aesthetic:

  • Sustainable options: Recycled paper and uncoated paper, ideal for environmentally friendly brands
  • Premium solutions: Textured paper or silver foil for particularly elegant designs

Are your labels food safe?

No – our food labels are not food-safe. They may only be used on packaging with a high barrier (e.g. glass or coated materials) to prevent contact between the label and the food.

Can I use removable labels for food packaging?

Yes! For reusable glasses, deposit systems or sustainable concepts, we have removable adhesives that can be removed without leaving any residue.

What role does the adhesive play on food labels?

The adhesive is crucial for the durability and safety of the label. Our permanent adhesives offer strong hold, while removable adhesives are used for reusable packaging or sustainable solutions. For cool and humid environments, we recommend a special frost- and moisture-resistant adhesive.
