Customer story: Burnin Benze – Rock 'n' roll for your food

Kundenstory: Burnin Benze - Rock´n´Roll für dein Essen

Burnin Benze isn't just about sauces, mustard or BBQ rubs. It's about genuine craftsmanship, honest ingredients and a whole lot of passion for barbecuing. Founded by Jürgen, who prefers to mix his own ingredients rather than resorting to artificial tricks, the brand now stands for honest flavour without additives, without industrial sugar and without compromise, but with a whole lot of flavour explosion.

Their factory produces products that taste like adventure: from smoky BBQ sauces to hot chilli creations and spicy mustard. Everything is handmade, produced regionally and with the clear goal of making every dish an experience.

But when you put so much heart and soul into your product, you don't want to compromise on the packaging design either. And that's exactly where we came in.

From label to statement

For us at Labelisten, it was something special to accompany the Burnin Benze team with their new packaging. After all, anyone who manufactures products with so much fire and passion also needs packaging that reflects exactly that. Right from the start, it was clear that the classic solution with labels would eventually reach its limits.

"We immediately recognised the immense advantages of printed pouches," says Jürgen von Burnin Benze. "Firstly, there's the environmental aspect: our new pouches are made entirely from recyclable plastic. Previously, we used a mixture of paper, plastic and aluminium coating, which couldn't be recycled."

But it wasn't just sustainability that was decisive – design also played a major role. "Pouches simply give us much more space for our ideas. We can design the front, back and every surface freely, allowing us to showcase our brand more effectively. With labels, we were quite limited in this respect."

Today, the new printed stand-up pouches are more than just packaging: they have become a stage, a distinguishing feature and part of the brand image. Or in short: they leave a lasting impression – just like the taste of Burnin Benze.

One less step, many more advantages

After switching to the new stand-up pouches, it quickly became apparent that the new packaging concept not only offers visual advantages, but also changes everyday production.

"We save ourselves the entire step of applying labels. This makes the processes much easier," says the Burnin Benze team. And the cost issue was also quickly resolved: "The printed Doypacks are only slightly more expensive than the various labels themselves and the actual unprinted pouch. The customer is 100% compensated by the working time saved by the producer."

This is precisely one of the reasons why we at Labelisten rely on digital printing and customised pouches: no warehouse full of label variants, no additional sticking steps, no long set-up times. Printing, design and function come from a single source – ready to print, machine-compatible and ready for use.

This creates a process that is not only cleaner but also significantly more efficient – entirely in line with Burnin Benze's philosophy: more focus on taste, less effort on packaging. And the result is impressive – in the truest sense of the word. "The pouches make our products much more eye-catching. Great colours, beautifully staged designs – this brings visual benefits for the buyer." Customers are also enthusiastic about the idea and its implementation.

For us label makers, this is probably the best feedback we can get – when packaging not only protects, but also leaves a lasting impression.

Growth with taste

The collaboration with Burnin Benze shows how much impact well-designed packaging can have. From the initial idea to the finished pouch, everything went smoothly – with close coordination, clear advice and a great deal of passion for the product. "Absolutely stress-free and with great advice. Even during the design changes and ideas from the labelists, we were perfectly supported and advised. We highly recommend that start-ups and old hands alike seek information from the label specialists."

The result speaks for itself: the new stand-up pouches make handling easier, save time, are more sustainable and take the brand to the next level on the shelf. Or, as Burnin Benze sums it up: "Storage, design, workload and a clear PLUS for the environment – the handling and functionality are perfect."

For us at Labelisten, this is the best proof that good packaging can do more – it tells stories, makes brands visible and brings real added value to the product, people and the environment.
